About Axios
About modern design firm Axios Architecture
Founded by Steve Robinson in 2006, Axios is an Atlanta-based architectural studio. The inspiration for the firm’s name comes from the Greek word “Axios” which means “worthy.”
As such, our mission is to create “worthy” architectural solutions. We consider projects as being “worthy” when they not only meet our client’s objectives, but also equally focus on beauty, function, technology, and sustainability.
Our comprehensive approach integrates architecture, interior design, site planning, and landscape design to create holistic solutions. Client collaboration is the cornerstone of our process. It is all about listening well to client needs and desires, and applying the creative skill to meet (and hopefully exceed) the project objectives.
Our creative and adventurous mindset is what drives our practice, which focuses on two areas:
Single family residential: Owner-occupied single family homes, renovations, loft fit-outs, and second homes.
Selected cultural and commercial projects: Botanical garden facilities, galleries, offices, and similar projects.
Axios Architecture is a firm built on a solid platform of experience. Steve has nearly 30 years of experience in architecture and related fields. He has managed convention center projects in excess of $200 million in construction value, and also designed furniture for residences — and many things in between. This diversified experience fuels Axios’ ability to creatively design both large and small places.
